Alpha Lipoic Acid Products (Powder)

Alpha lipoic acid, also called lipoic acid or thioctic acid, is a sulfur-containing compound made in the body. It functions as a cofactor for enzyme systems involved in nutrient metabolism.

Alpha lipoic acid is commonly used for its role in cellular metabolism and its redox activity. It has been studied for several health uses, but findings are mixed and do not establish that every supplement will deliver a particular result.

Check the exact ingredient form, amount per serving, other ingredients, and use directions on the label. Because alpha lipoic acid can have effects in the body, discuss it with a healthcare professional if you take medicines or manage a health condition.
