Vitamin C Products (Powder)

Vitamin C, also called L-ascorbic acid, is an essential water-soluble vitamin. Because the body does not make it, vitamin C must come from foods and, when used, supplements.

Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and is required for collagen production. It also contributes to normal immune function and helps the body absorb iron from plant foods.

No. Ascorbic acid is the most common supplemental form, while some products use sodium, calcium, or other mineral ascorbates. Read the ingredient and Supplement Facts panels because the form and accompanying minerals can differ, then follow the product label.
