Zinc Glycinate Products (Powder)

Zinc glycinate is a supplemental form of zinc. The Supplement Facts panel states the amount of elemental zinc per serving, which is the number to use when comparing zinc products.

Zinc is an essential mineral involved in immune function, protein and DNA synthesis, cell division, growth, wound healing, and taste. Zinc glycinate supplies zinc, but a specific form should not be assumed to deliver better results unless comparative evidence supports that claim.

Follow the product label and count zinc from all supplements you use, since too much can cause side effects and long-term high intake can lower copper levels. Zinc can also interact with certain antibiotics and penicillamine, so ask a healthcare professional about timing if you use these medicines.
