L-Leucine Products

L-Leucine is an essential amino acid, meaning it must come from the diet. It is one of the three branched-chain amino acids, along with isoleucine and valine, and is present in many protein-rich foods.

Leucine participates in signaling related to muscle protein synthesis, which is why it appears in many fitness products. Evidence does not consistently show that isolated leucine improves performance or muscle gains beyond adequate high-quality dietary protein and training.

No. L-Leucine supplies one essential amino acid, while a complete protein supplies all nine essential amino acids. Consider the powder in the context of total dietary protein and follow the product label.
